最近、親子や身内の中での殺傷事件が相次いでいるのが気になります。
今回の会津若松での事件は、前に神戸の須磨で起きた殺人事件を
思い起こさせます。
私の実家は大阪府の郊外で両親と子供3人が暮らしていましたが、
一家円満だったのでこういうことが信じられないです。
どうも、時代の流れという言葉では割り切れない思いですね。

相次ぐ銃撃事件に思う
先日の国内外での銃撃事件、本当にショックでした。
特に長崎市の市長さんは、私の英語教室のリスニング教材にも
たびたび登場されて親しみを感じていた方でした。亡くなられた
ことが今でも信じられません・・・。
背後から至近距離で撃つなんて卑劣極まりない犯行です。
この犯人の元妻らしい女性が、男のことを「とってもいい人です」
と話している報道を見て、あっけにとられました。この表現を
大多数の視聴者はどう感じていたのでしょうか。
いっぽう、アメリカでの銃乱射事件のほうは、犯人が韓国系学生
でした。
が、当初はなぜか、「上海出身の中国人」という誤報が飛び交っ
いたようです。なぜ韓国人と中国人を間違えたのか、その経緯が
気になります。
来週あたりに、いずれかの事件の背景を英語ニュースの題材に
するかもしれません。

日本列島は地震列島・・・という事実を実感した1日でした。
付近にお住まいの方、大丈夫でしたか？
震度６以上になると、阪神淡路大震災を思い出して
ドキッとします。今回も犠牲者が出てしまったようで
残念です。

メルマガで扱う英語ニュースのネタ探しにアサヒ・コムで話題のニュース一覧を見ると・・・きのうのアクセストップ３は以下の通り。

大手の菓子メーカーが賞味期限・消費期限の切れた材料を何年も使い続けていた、というのはひどい話です。そういえば、以前、雪印もトラブルもありましたね。
